Wyatt's Washing Tip: I suggest you get a mesh laundry bag to put the backpack in for washing it. If you don’t have one, then a pillowcase could work. Remove all possessions from bag and zip up all zippers. Wash by itself on cold, gentle cycle with detergent, until the wrinkles come out, and hang dry.

If you're uncomfortable with washing a bag in your washer, then you can hand wash. Get a bucket of lukewarm water, a scrub sponge, a soft bristle brush, and either dawn dish soap or mild laundry detergent. Apply water and soap/cleaner to stains and scrub after. Scrub and clean the rest of the backpack if you want to, and then rinse and hang dry after cleaning is done.
